Can
You're Expecting be used instead of a prenatal vitamin?
YES.
You're Expecting is a SUPER PRENATAL supplement that includes the components
found in the most popular prenatal vitamins. What makes it a super prenatal
is the addition of calcium, folic acid, iron, omega 3 fatty acids and
fiber.
Iron?
How much do I need? Why?
You're Expecting contains the recommended daily allowance for Iron. Iron
requirements typically double from 15 to 30 milligrams per day during
pregnancy. Mother and fetus both require additional iron due to fetal
iron storage to support post natal requirements and increased maternal
blood volume.*
Calcium?
How much do I need? Why?
You're Expecting includes
the 100% RDA for calcium which is essential during pregnancy and for postpartum
requirements. Since most women consume only 75 percent of the recommended
calcium levels, they will deliberately need to increase the amount of
calcium to sustain optimum health.*
Folic
Acid? How much do I need? Why?
You're Expecting includes
1 milligram of Folic Acid. Cell maturation and development have been linked
to this important vitamin. Reduced levels of Folic Acid have been associated
with neural tube defects and other adverse birth outcomes. Research suggests
that folic acid supplementation during the weeks leading up to and following
conception may help prevent these outcomes.*

Vitamin B6 and B12 are also included in the formulation to enhance embryonic
growth.*

Omega
3 Fatty Acids? What are the benefits in You're Expecting?
Research shows that
infants born to mothers with higher blood levels of the omega-3 fatty
acid DHA have advanced attention spans well into their second year of
life. During the first six months of life, attention spans were two months
ahead of those babies whose mothers had lower DHA levels. Pregnant and
nursing mothers whose diets contain plenty of the omega-3 fatty acid DHA
